VAU1254/31LF / VAU-1254/31LF in different configurations
CD-Transport PHILIPS VAU1254/31LF This offer is an exchange-service. This mechanism is a rebuild / refurbished one in proper condition.
- You receive a refurbished mechanism and return your defective old unit of the same type within 14 days of receipt – ideally in the shipping box. You bear the return shipping costs.
- The old unit may only show damage from normal ageing and wear. Please tell us about any other damage (e.g. breakage, moisture, fire, overvoltage, missing parts) at the latest when ordering.
- If the old unit does not arrive in time or shows damage not disclosed, we charge a core deposit of 100,00 € – your old unit is the basis for the next refurbishment, as these mechanisms are no longer manufactured. If it arrives late but in proper condition, we refund the deposit.
See our terms and conditions (§ 6).
Please check briefly before ordering – there is a solution for almost every mechanism.
For refurbished and used items, the limitation period for claims for defects is one year – for consumers agreed separately when ordering, for business customers according to our terms.
- Danger to life from electric shock: Devices connected to mains contain hazardous voltages. Capacitors in the power supply may remain charged even after switching off. Unplug the device and let the capacitors discharge before opening it.
- Invisible laser radiation: CD devices and mechanisms contain a laser pickup. Laser radiation may be emitted with the device opened or the pickup removed. Do not stare into the beam, not even with optical instruments (magnifier, microscope).
- Operate the device only when fully closed; do not bypass covers or safety switches.
- Installation requires expert knowledge and should be carried out by a qualified electrician or repair shop.
Important installation notes
- Laser pickups are sensitive to electrostatic discharge: work grounded only (wrist strap, ESD mat), disconnect the unit from mains.
- Remove the protective solder bridge on the flex cable only after the pickup is connected.
- Do not touch the lens, do not adjust the trimmers (laser power).
- Check drive, sled and motors before installation – a defective pickup is often just a symptom.
